Construction Laborer

Status: Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $18–$23 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 pm

As a Construction Laborer, you'll work alongside an experienced team on a variety of construction projects, helping prepare job sites, perform general labor, and support skilled trades throughout each phase of construction.

What You'll Do
- Perform general labor duties on active construction sites.
- Assist with preparing and cleaning job sites before, during, and after construction activities.
- Support concrete and foundation work, including footing preparation and rebar installation.
- Assist with excavation and grading activities.
- Safely operate hand tools and construction equipment as assigned.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has at least 7 months to 1 year of experience working on a construction site.
- Takes initiative and is willing to carry their share of the workload.
- Is observant, learns quickly, and understands the sequence of construction activities.
- Is motivated, ambitious, and eager to develop new skills.
- Works well independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who possess the following experience will stand out:
- Experience pouring concrete footings.
- Experience tying rebar.
- Knowledge of footing layout.
- Experience operating a mini excavator efficiently.
- Familiarity with setting grades on construction projects.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum of 7 months to 1 year of construction experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Commitment to following all company safety procedures and job site regulations.
